This letter is to inform you that we are recalling Ibuprofen due to potential manufacturing quality issues. Our records show that you have received Ibuprofen 400 mg, 600 mg and/or 800 mg since we started purchasing the affected brands. Our patients’ safety is our priority; while the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not reported safety findings, CIHA Pharmacy along with the Department of Veteran’s Affairs (VA), is issuing an internal recall on all Ibuprofen 400 mg, 600 mg and 800 mg.

- Product Name: Exelon brand Ibuprofen 400 mg, 600 mg and 800 mg
What to Do:
- Cease Use: Please immediately stop using the recalled product
- Return the Product: Please return the product to the Medication Drop Box near the Emergency Department at Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority, bring them into the CIHA Pharmacy, or safely dispose of the tablets at home.
- Contact Us: Please contact the Cherokee Indian Hospital Pharmacy to let us know you have disposed of the product. If desired, we can issue a new prescription to you with medication not affected by the recall.
