Expanding Good Health–Every Way We Can.

The CIHA system of inpatient and outpatient resources stretches across the Qualla Boundary. It is meant primarily to serve enrolled members of the Cherokee Tribe. We continually strive to bring on new technology, new specialists, and the latest advancements in healthcare. By expanding both in our services and our physical service areas, we can provide valuable resources to our rural communities, while centralizing others based on types of care or need.

The Immediate Care Center:
For Non-Emergency Services.

The Immediate Care Center (or ICC) satisfies the need in the Cherokee community for a Joint Commission-accredited facility—one that provides quality medical care for individuals of all ages who have acute, non-emergent illnesses or complaints. Put simply, the ICC assists those who are not experiencing a need for emergency care or the ER.

At the ICC, You Never Have to Make an Appointment.

Care is provided on a walk-in, first-come, first-served basis for all enrolled EBCI members “direct only,” and to Cherokee Tribal employees and their families with Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
