Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority Staff Earn Resiliency Educator Certification

Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority (CIHA) is proud to announce that five staff members from Analenisgi, CIHA’s Behavioral Health department, have completed training in Resources for Resilience to become certified Resiliency Educators.

This certification equips staff with research-based strategies to help individuals and communities manage stress, prevent burnout, and strengthen resilience. As part of the certification process, participants will receive up to six months of mentoring from Resources for Resilience to help them effectively facilitate resilience-building trainings for those they serve.

The following Analenisgi staff members have completed the rigorous training:

Joe Lambert – Evening/Training Supervisor, Galvgwodiyu

Tiana “T” Serio – Master’s Level Therapist, Detention Center

Monique Sokol – Analenisgi Inpatient Tech

Molly Bracknell – Master’s Level Therapist, Galvgwodiyu

Lara Conner – Recovery Services Supervisor

“Resiliency Educators play a critical role in our community,” said Michelle Frerich, Galvgwodiyu Program Manager. “By equipping our team with tools to better understand how stress impacts the brain and body, we can empower individuals to take control of their well-being and improve their overall health outcomes.”

As part of CIHA’s commitment to holistic and culturally responsive behavioral healthcare, this initiative enhances Analenisgi’s ability to provide trauma-informed care and support healing within the Cherokee community. The training was made possible through a partnership with EBCI Public Health and Human Services Cherokee Choices.
