The Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority (CIHA) is inviting the community to join in celebrating the completion of the exterior construction of the new Cherokee County Clinic for a ‘Hats Off Celebration’ on Thursday, August 29, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 2355 Tomotla Road, Marble, NC.
The event will celebrate the completion of the construction portion of the project and show appreciation for the construction crew and sub-contractors who worked through cold winter days and a rainy, unpredictable spring to make it all happen with a catered lunch. Tribal Leadership will join CIHA Executive staff to provide updates on the final stages of the interior buildout as the project moves toward completion in September. Attendees will have an opportunity to hear directly from project leaders about the expanded services and enhanced care the new facility will offer.
The new Cherokee County Clinic will be three times the size of the current facility and will feature:
- A dental suite for comprehensive oral care
- Telemedicine capabilities to enhance access to specialty services
- Expanded Physical Therapy services
- Additional offerings designed to meet the needs of the entire community
“This is a celebration not only of the building’s progress, but of the dedication and hard work that has gone into making this vision a reality,” said CIHA CEO Casey Cooper. “We look forward to opening a clinic that will provide more services, more space, and enhanced access to care for enrolled members living in Cherokee County.”
The public is encouraged to attend, learn more about the progress, and share in the celebration of a project that will soon bring expanded, high-quality healthcare closer to home for Cherokee County residents. A formal ribbon cutting and open house of the new facility will be held in October to celebrate the project completion and Grand Opening.
