As we approach the end of the year, we are pleased to share the latest updates on the construction of Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority’s new Cherokee County Clinic. The new clinic site is located at 2355 Tomotla Rd. in Marble, and despite facing some weather-related delays this month, significant progress continues to be made on the project.
This month’s most exciting development is the visible transformation of the site. The building’s walls are now being erected, and what was once a plot of broken dirt has begun to resemble a real structure. The foundational work completed in the fall has paved the way for this milestone, and the clinic is finally starting to take shape.
Looking ahead, the construction timeline remains on track, with completion expected in October 2025. This new clinic will be three times the size of the current facility, providing much-needed space for expanded services, including:
- -Dental suite for comprehensive oral care
- -Telemedicine capabilities to enhance access to care
- -Physical therapy services
- -Additional offerings that will benefit the entire community
We are excited to see this project come to life and are committed to keeping you informed as each phase of construction is completed. The progress made so far is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved. We appreciate your continued support and patience as we work toward building a healthier future for members of the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Indians living in and around Cherokee County.
