Progress continues at a steady pace on the Cherokee County Clinic in Marble, NC, with the project remaining on track for a September
ribbon cutting. Over the past month, work has focused on final finishes, including key systems like electrical and HVAC. All necessary equipment for the facility has been ordered, with
some items already arriving onsite.
In June, the Cherokee Indian Hospital Foundation hosted its annual Gala, where the Cherokee County Clinic was a central focus. Thanks to the generous support of sponsors and attendees, funds raised at this year’s event will go toward building a walking track and outdoor recreation park on the clinic grounds—further enhancing the site as a space for community health and wellness.
The site also recently welcomed members of the North Carolina Trail of Tears Association for a tour of the property. A portion of the land overlaps with the historic Trail of Tears corridor, offering a moment of reflection on the site’s cultural and historical significance.
With each step forward, the Cherokee County Clinic stands as a symbol of resilience, health, and healing—rooted in the past and looking toward a stronger future for our community.
